Booklet: Senior Thesis
This is a personal project where I designed a booklet for my senior thesis at St. John’s College. My goal was to create a quality keepsake that reflected the effort and quality of my essay. The essay itself is about the geometry of René Descartes and his invention of algebra, so I chose clean, geometric elements for this design. I picked a typeface that is both highly legible and geometric. In addition, its small caps were great for making the equations in the text more legible. The cover art is inspired by Descartes’ diagram of the locus problem, which is where he invented algebra.
